Acclaimed soprano captivates New York audience before upcoming Budapest engagement

New York, NY – July 2025 – Italian soprano Laura Ansaldi dazzled audiences at Sound Espressivo’s Laureate Gala, delivering a radiant debut at Carnegie Hall’s Weill Recital Hall that blended technical brilliance with deep emotional resonance.

For this special occasion, Ansaldi chose a demanding program designed to reveal both sides of her artistry: the precision of her technique and the sincerity of her interpretation. For her, a concert is never just a performance — it is an immersive journey that draws the audience into a different world. She shared, “I want the audience to be transported, to soak into a new atmosphere, and to go home feeling better and empowered.”

Ansaldi opened with Handel’s challenging aria “Da tempeste” from Giulio Cesare. She explained, “It’s one of the most difficult pieces a soprano can choose. It’s very long, it has high notes, and it demands intricate coloratura passages.” She then offered a contrasting moment of lyrical beauty with Puccini’s beloved “Vissi d’arte” from Tosca, captivating listeners with its melodic power.

The collaboration behind the scenes added to the event’s success. Italian Maestro Giacomo Franci, conducting the New York Chamber Players Orchestra, complimented Ansaldi on her voice — recognition she described as especially meaningful coming from such an accomplished conductor. Ansaldi added, “Maestro Franci is truly one of the best maestros I have worked with so far. The two rehearsals were perfect, and from the very first moment, the musicians were all so professional and kind.”

Performing at Carnegie Hall — widely considered one of the most prestigious venues in the United States — marked a significant breakthrough in Ansaldi’s worldwide career. She reflected, “Carnegie Hall isn’t just a venue — it’s a symbol of artistic excellence and a dream for every musician.”

Being back in New York made her realize how much she has missed the city and sparked a desire to return more often. In step with this renewed connection to American audiences, Ansaldi recently signed with Jack Price Attractions, a leading artist management company, to expand her opportunities in the United States.

Next, she brings her voice to the MiraTone Festival in Budapest this August.
